Fran has just posted a very fresh new demo, Only Us, which he doodled on piano and wreckorded on his dictaphone only a few hours ago.

Very Radiohead, I'd love to see this develop into something lovely in the future. :) |

Thanks for posting this, saved me the trouble ;^)
I liked the little tune a lot, it has potential. It even got stuck to my head for a bit after one listen. |

my first reaction was that it's very haunting.
Can't wait to see what comes of it. |

Makes me wonder if this how "sad song", "heaven space", and "sarah" started |

This is great to hear. First of all it's great to hear how Fran works and secondly, i'm liking what i hear too. It sounds great. It has huge potential if Fran can turn it into a song without losing the beautiful sound. A Fran solo song, or a Travis song? Or just a new song? |

Oh, I love it! It's such a treat to be able to listen to this. It's the birth of a (possible) song! I really hope it doesn't end up just sitting in a corner. It would be amazing to see it evolve into a full song. :o) |

nah, it's neither radiohead nor muse - it's fran! ;P
... wondering when he started playing the piano. wasn't "some sad song" the only song he could play? |

When he played Some Sad Song in 2003, he looked very nervous doing it. It's not the most difficult song to play either. He's massively improved since then. He may not be Matt Bellamy but he's getting very good on the piano by the sounds of it. I love the sound of a piano (one of my favourite things about Muse) so i'd love to hear more piano in Travis/Fran songs. Sarah for example, it's really beautiful. :) |
