The journalist goes in great depth and the results are insightful.

Here is what Fran had to say when asked about a possible solo album:
It’s definitely something that I’ve thought about, something that I think I’ll probably do. Maybe simply to change something up… because Travis is a band that doesn’t stop. I don’t think we will ever stop making records, so it would be like a vacation. |

Thanks a lot, great interview. :)
Obviously it's interesting what he says about a solo album. I'm just pleased to hear he wants to keep writing music and still feels excited about it. That's the impression i get. And if Holiday is anything to go by, Fran still has great songs in him just waiting to come out! :) |

Thanks for sharing! This is a really good interview.
Funny comparison of socks and songs :D
I never would've thought though that singer/songwriters could feel uncomfortable singing songs written by other people. I mean they (including Fran) do covers all the time, so you'd think they don't mind it. Turns out there is a difference after all. Thanks for the insight into the singer/songwriter's mind :)

I don't think that there will ever be a Fran Healy solo project. Why would I want to when I play in the greatest living rock and roll band of all time :)
What a difference a year makes. But I think it would be cool.
I love hearing people talk about things they are passionate about. What Fran says about songwriting is like listening to my husband talk about painting. It comes from a different place in him. I can try to understand. I love music, I love art, but there is still that little piece of it that I will probably never really "get" in the way that he feels about his art. But that little piece of mystery is what keeps it interesting.

Great! Especially this: … because Travis is a band that doesn’t stop. |

Unfortunately, my memory is sort of Jeckyll and Hyde. Sometimes very good, sometimes very bad. |
