Dougie's version of All the young dudes is even better than David Bowie's one

Even though I have to admit that I prefer the Mott The Hoople version. |

Well.. ok, how can I say this... Dougie will probably hate me for this now as a fan of David? But I don't really like David Bowie's All the young dudes. Lots of great other songs... but to my ears Dougie's version is lot more better. Just my opinion anyways |

Hehe I've calmed down a bit now =) It's just that some artists are sacred to me, I can't listen to people covering their songs....not even good artists :S |

:) allright, let's say that they're both great, just different. And different styles suit different tastes. |

I really like the song but Dougies version sounds to mee better than Bowies.
Bowie makes great songs but I kinda don't like how he sings it...
but just my opinion.
But the version Dougie's doing - how he does this "cheeky talking" in between and the voice - just like it better.
Best part for me:
The change into the piano/silent part: "from his face, from his little boat race"
Talking: Speed Jive, don't wanna stay alive
:)
Sorry Alex, :) agree on disagreeing, again :) |
