Thoughts? Yes , why are we bothering with this nonsense?
That and the upcoming friendly with Wales in Cardiff , a complete waste of time.
Gordon Smith said we needed the game because we could have been preparing for a World Cup play-off game. apparently there were no games available in Europe because all the other eight groups have matches
With that in mind , yes the kirin cup games make sense.
But the Wales game, which they are negotiating for next month, is just nonsense.
agreed. the Wales game has been confirmed for November 14th. there wont be as many withdrawals for that game because everyone gets an opportunity to kick that wee shit Bellamy up and down the park!
Have the SFA stopped sucking up the holes of the Old (in)Firm ??
Pointless games, so why not try something a bit different.
Stephen McGinn is coming on leaps and bounds at St.Mirren, he's in the under 21's why not try him a full level ? Chris Iwelumo I reckon deserves another chance.
Surprised to see Riodarn in the line up, always took him for a tim. Surprised he didn't take the "Aidan McGreedy wee shite" route and nail his colours to the Irish flag, Where abouts in Ireland exactly is Castlemilk anyway ye little bollix ?
Frankly I was disappointed with the Holland performance, why couldn't we have played the same way we did against Norway, then that little fuck Burnley would be out on his arse, little prick that he is !!

I think Boyd said he would never play under Burley after iwelumo got picked instead of him against Norway. remember the sitter he missed!?
i hate that prick Mcgeady too. same has to be said for that other bawbag who picked Ireland over Scotland, think he played for Hamilton
When did players start deciding they weren't gonna accept the greatest honour by playing for their country because the managers a wank.
Iwelumo did miss a huge sitter and was recently slated for it by an SFA exec. Which by the by is out of order I didn't hear him mention McGregor & Ferguson's behaviour or the fact that Boyd has refused to play under Burnley as contributing factors to a shite campaign, Double Standards when it comes to the Old (in)Firm once again. Iwelumo was actuially quite good in that game (apart from the sitter obviously), I think it happens to most players i their career Chris was just unlucky that it happened to him at such an important time. I think he deserves another chance, why not in a totally meaningless game, where if I'm wrong he can miss sitters all day and it won't affect anything.
Are you thinking of that little Bollix McCarthy another one who claims Irish blood because his great, great grandfather knew someone who once drank a pint of Guinness therefore he must be Irish. C U Next Tuesday.

yea that's him. that kind of thing really boils my piss

Yeah, it's kinda sad that Scots people would rather be British or Irish because of football teams, There are the exceptions who are proud to be both Scots and British/Irish but these are a minority.
I see the same thing over here, they go on about 800 years of oppression by the English etc. etc. then come Sunday they are all down the pub watching Man Utd/Liverpool/Chelsea/Tottenham and when you press them as to why they don't support Bohemians/Shamrock Rovers/Shelbourne... their answer "they are shite".
I'm a Saint Mirren fan always have been and always will, I'm not happy with Gus' tactics at GHR at the moment but I'm a supporter not a manager. Scotland haven't qualified for a major tournament since what France '98 ?? Does that mean I should stop supporting them ??
I used to notice when I was much younger people always asked "Are you Rangers or Sellick?", to which my reply of "neither" used to cause consternation. "Yeah but who do you prefer?" agian "Neither, I treat them both with equal contempt". Yeah but if Rangers were playing Sellick, who would you want to win", some people just won't let it lie, working on sites for most of my younger years I also noticed that when you didn't pick a side these "hated enemies" would join forces to ridicule someone who had a thought of his own.
btw, I have noticed in later years that when I wear my Saints jersey, other supporters outside the Old (in)Firm, will take time out to talk to me about Gus or life in the SPL. The Motherwells, Falkirks, Aberdeens, Hearts, Q.O.S., etc. fans are starting to join forces and kick back against the bullies that are the Old (in)Firm. Not before time,
If Yogi gets it right Hibs can mount a serious challenge to these two as I have seen nothing to mark them out as anything special this season, the days of them buying superstars are gone, I'm looking forward to seeing the so called Loyal fans deserting them in droves.
As for players like McCarthy and McGeady, they can fuck off, McCarthy was a small fish in a miniscule pond at Hamilton, and McGeady is a greedy huffy little prick when things don't go his way. Maloney may not have the skills but he plays his heart out for his country and I'd choose that belief every day!!
As far as I'm concerned, you don't pick and choose when you play for your country. Whether it's because you don't like the manager or you think it's a meaningless game or not. You get picked, you go and play. Simple as that. You could put your mortgage on it that most of these call offs will be miraculously injury free when there's a competitive game to be played.
