So my brother bought a banjo today. Ok, actually he "bought his girlfriend a banjo"...which really means he bought it for himself, lol. Anyways, he's pretty awesome at guitar, so he's had this thing for about 5 minutes and has already figured out how to play dueling banjos on his own. I've challenged him to learn how to play "Sing". He's kinda got it, but I don't think it's quite right. I'm not finding "Sing" banjo tabs online.
Can anyone help? :)
PS: Andy, see you in Ferndale. :D |

Cos i cannot play "sing" in tenor banjo. Also the shape is in 2nd fret, is quite easy. |

I have no idea how a banjo is tuned, but this is how you play the banjo part on a guitar. Maybe he can convert it somehow? :P
Riff 1: Em(Em7)
e|----------2h-------2h------------2h---------2h-|
B|-----------------------------------------------|
G|------3--------3-----------3-----------3-------|
D|----0--------------------0---------------------|
A|--0--------------------0-----------------------|
E|-----------------------------------------------|
Riff 2 : Am(Am7)
e|-----------5h------5h-----------5h---------5h--|
B|-----------------------------------------------|
G|------5--------5------------5---------5--------|
D|----0---------------------0--------------------|
A|--0---------------------0----------------------|
E|-----------------------------------------------|
I think that's quite right...

Andy's banjo is a 6 string banjo which is tuned the same as a guitar. So sing would be played the same as on guitar on a 6 string. What kind of banjo is it?Is it a 5 string? |

It's a 5 string. Thanks for the chords and tips, guys. I'll print this out and show him. :) |
