Aw man, I've neglected this board so much!
Just thought I'd stop by and say hello, has been many many months since I've been on here...does anyone actually remember who I am? (not sure I do!)
How are you all keeping, what's happening in your lives etc?
I was last a proper, regular boardie around this time last year when I was just about to get married and move to Yorkshire. It's been an eventful year....unfortunately for bad reasons rather than good but here's to the next year, and wooo, I've been very happily married for one whole year on Friday 14th!
What's happened to all of you in the last year??! |

Hey Laura! Nice to see you about.
I'm afraid I'm one of the many who has been absent from Travisland of late too... Driving lessons, A levels, Panic over results for said A levels and so on... :-P
Hope you're well and congrats on your year of marriage! :-)

Well hello dear! I've missed you! In fact I was thinking about you yesterday!
I'm fine, my year has been pretty eventful- I went to Spain and to Milan and I'm going to Denmark for over 5 months in about 2 weeks! Scary! I also had some problems at my uni but that's all sorted now!

Hey Laura, they are going very well (only had 4 and my instructor thinks I should be able to take my test next month!). You did indeed read a tweet about the manouvering- I think it's all the off road practice :-P. I'll be getting my results on the 20th- absolutely terrified lol. I don't get exam nerves, but results nerves... Strange, but at least my nerves can't interfere with answering exam questions! I should be going to uni in September 2010. I'm hoping that I'll get in to Canterbury university, as I LOVE their course structure for Psychology. A 4 year BSc involves studying for the first 2 years, then a work placement with a chartered psychologist for the 3rd year and then a final year of study. Canterbury's also not too far from where I live, so I shouldn't have to live away from home (far too expensive!). Going to be a loooong road, but once I've finished studying (BSc, then a Masters, then a Doctorate) I should be able to work as a Clinical Neuropsychologist (something else I can thank Travis for, strangely enough) :-) Ahhh, ambition lol. |

Ah wow...wish I had all that ambition when I was your age! Uni was enough study for me, let alone a Masters and a PhD...argh!! Best of luck to you :) |

Heeeeyyy Laura!!! It's so good to see you around! :o)
I missed you. Like Kristy said, I can't believe it's been a year already since you got married!
What have you been up to?
My life's uneventful. I'm working and I've got two finals this week: one tomorrow on Genocidal Social Practices (I have to defend a paper I handed in last week) and an English test on Thursday. I'm more concerned about the latter, because I haven't touched an English text book in five years.
And hopefully I'll get my Sociology degree by the end of the year, so I'm quite excited about that! :o) |

Hey pretty lady! Wow I guess it has been a year. Sorry it's been nutty. I got my jaw rearranged and since I couldn't chew and was miserable have subsisted on pancakes, ice cream, and frosting for the past few weeks.
I can't say that was completely awful but my pants are now protesting so I am back to being a healthy kitty cat so I can wear my clothes. |
