I don't care who invented it. The idea of it grosses me out. It exceeds even oyster pie on the GAG scale.

*disclaimer: no, I've never had it but the thought alone makes me nauseous.

meh, it's not bad.
Black pudding on the other hand is the thing that nightmares are made of. I tried it once. I will never try it again.
It also brings back memories of trying to order coffee in Scotland as it was all at the same meal.
"What kind of coffee?"
"umm, just regular coffee...?"
*blank stare by Scottish waitress*

She meant black or white. We don't call it white here! I was confused. And at a Tube station in London they just handed me my coffee with milk and sugar. Umm, you didnt ask and that is not how I take my coffee. Is that normal practice?
Being the passive Canadian that I am, I drank it anyways.

Well, I take my tea neat, no sugar or milk. Try to make a British person to understand that…

it's called neat? like vodka? I've heard black or clear. But both of those seem odd. I just take a splash of milk so Ive never had to ponder this too much.
OH NO I don't put anything in my peppermint tea! I do have to ponder this!

hmmm good thing i usually stay away from coffee!! as an american living in ireland, when i have been looking for it, have noticed it's hard to find good drip coffee... had to resort to starbucks! and they do have different terms for it everywhere-- a regular old cuppa joe is an americano here! this is also the first time i've ever had instant coffee, that's what everyone does here, i guess b/c it's more the norm to have tea....

as for haggis, it's actually pretty good! tastes fairly similar to ground beef... and i've also enjoyed black pudding, altho not so much the white... actually, not really sure what's in the white pudding.. and i try not to think about what's in haggis and black when i eat them!

I don't think anyone else uses neat in that context, even I don't normally. Just bending words for fun.

I can't understand milk in tea. It just doesn't seem like a good combination. I'll sweeten it, but milk? No.

Remember on Laverne & Shirley, Laverne drank milk & Pepsi? Ewwwwwww!

oh yeah i've a friend who loves milk & coke (coca-cola, not the illegal kind.. altho i'm sure people love that too!).. milk in tea has the same effect as milk in coffee, but i agree, not a big fan...
