Sorry if something like this has been posted before
I found this - Something Else: Now, Dougie once said that this is his fav. track on the record - or was - until they started doing it live :) it was kinda hard to play the bass, singing the backing vocals AND play the glockenspiel ;)
This is the only live version I found of this :D but it's pretty amazing. Also to see Dougie dancing! He's got some moves, man....

Where did you read that about Dougie? Fran says it's his fave right before this clip begins. |

It was in an interview made by BBC (2003) u can download it on mayflowers site (head for bootlegs).
It's amazing! There are even funnier interviews- but this is awesome!
There's also one with Chris Moyle (or something) as a host - and Dougie kinda overslept- so he's making fun of him :) but Dougie's answers are not bad either :D
It's worth spending time on this site!

Everytime I watch that part on the dvd, it makes me smile. Its my favorite song on the album, too. |

I kinda like all the songs on that record. My all time fav. is LWCT..
I just don't like: Paperclips... but anything else on that record: I love!
The backing vocals in Quicksand are so funny...so very "motivated" (or...not :D ) |

I've grown to like 12 Memories more and more and more as time has passed. I think songs like Walking Down The Hill are very special. We never talk about that song, maybe because most people don't like it i don't know, but i think it's wonderful. A song i forget myself but on the rare occasion i hear it, i'm amazed how awesome it is. I personally love Paperclips. It's really only The Beautiful Occupation i'm not so wow on from that album. |

I think 12 Memories is a classic Travis album that grows on you over time, like a fine vine. It has a very special taste so it might be a bit hard to digest if you're used to the other albums. But when you open up for it, this album will only get better and better.
Paperclips is one of my personal favourites, the lyrics are ace and Fran sings it with such great emotion!
The only song I've never liked on this album is How Many Hearts, which I think is the worst album-track since Midsummer Nights Dreamin' :P |

I think Somewhere Else has the same distinctive quality as Colder, they're both said to be rather difficult to play live and therefore even more special :)
(I love the harmonica but it's hard to do it all at the same time, so I understand Fran's point of view when he says Colder isn't a song he enjoys playing that much)
Have you ever seen this?? I guess it fits in the category of funny/amazing :D

That's cool. :) There is this too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7on9Q6oVx8
I love Fran in this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWHJnmleSlQ Towards the end, it breaks down and everyone keeps singing and Fran laughs and then forgets the words! lol
