As some of you know this is my fav. Travis song :)
Now I'm looking for different versions of it.
- There is the "Grey's Anatomy" version (Or Moonlight Mile-version) where the drumms and bass wait to come in til the Chorus. There is the original version which is on the record.
There are some live-versions:
- At The Palace (DTS CH3 Center Channel) - Speacial thing here: The so-famous-riff is not played by Andy but is played on a keyboard! Does anyone know why? Has anyone seen it?
- Live version at NRK - is pretty good as well
- 9:30 Club Washington 2009: Claes keeps on playing the start of the song (this piano riff) while Fran's still talking to the audience!
LWCT start
Now PLEASE guys I need your help. Did anyone record this song last month in the 9.30 Club? audio or video? It's sooo soo soo beautiful?
Or does anyone of you have other cool versions of that song? Like instrumental or anything? (Maybe something went wrong on stage..(mic did't work or something)) I once had a "broken" version -where you could only here the bass and the piano of this song :) It's cool too!!
So my biggest wish right now would be that 9.30 Club - version!
What do you say about this version? Do you even like it?
cheers

About the one from At The Palace, it's just the way in which it's been ripped i believe. Andy is there and he is playing as usual, you just can't hear him. You're talking of this aren't you? http://themanwho.wordpress.com/2007/05/20/at-the-palace-live-center-channel/ :)
I hope this is ok: http://www.sendspace.com/file/5n5um6 |

Hi Ben,
Ah...ok...So he's actually playing (I just can't here him) And the piano is playing the riff as well (Because there is a piano playing his riff - just without the sliding)....And that's kinda strange - since it was never done that way before. Strange...
AND THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE MP3!!!!! I didn't know the started this way off in NY too! GOD THANKS SO SO SO SO MUCH!!!!!! It's perfect!!! |

Haha...yes kind of a rescuer...so whenever I'm looking for a special, very rare version of a song I'll go to Ben, right? :D
When I first heard this intro it gave me the shiver ...it was amazing...like hearing the sound everywhere..around you, in you...amazing...
but then again - it is my fav. song (or one of them) anyway so....
So again: Thanks

It is probably my favourite song from the last 3 albums. It is great! :)
I read what you said and thought "hmm... i wonder if they did it like that in New York too..." :) I have a load of Travis stuff that i've downloaded over the years so i might have something hidden away somewhere. :) |

Thank you very much. It isn't a problem though, it's easy enough. If you ever want something, just ask and i might have it. :) |
