Hey, has anyone read the Travis biography by Mike Black (stupid question). What it is, I've left mine back home and I'm looking for a quote by Fran ... its referring back to his school days when he was bullied. I can't remember what it is exactly but I remember it had something to do with wearing a massive white board with weird written on it in green writing ????
Anyone know the exact quote?
If anyone can help that would be great |

Hi, I think I've found what you're looking for. Though what it says is this:
'I walked around as if I had a huge neon light that said "weird" ... they used to follow me home and beat me up.' |

Thanks guys.
Yeah I used to feel like that when I was 15 - as if I wore that sign. Fran inspired me to be the person I am today, more confident and I proved everyone wrong. Brought it home last week when I was home for my brother's 21st, guy in my class said he had me totally written off before I came to uni. I was shy, didn't say much, felt like a weirdo all the time and basically saw my life away from home. I came to uni and grew away from all those people who made me feel like that at school and now ... well my future's looking brighter!
I didn't really want to hear that everyone had me written off, I already knew. I just said that I knew that and I had my life planned away from home at the age of 15. Think I shocked them.
yeah I bought that book years ago, its pretty old but really good. Looks to how they got big - its all based round about the time of The Man Who so anything after that is missed out but still a good read. |

Yeah, I've got this book too, it's a great read.
They really need a new book to cover everything that has happened since 2001 though... (I don't think another one exists) |

It would be impossible to find that book in Korea...
So I think I have to buy that in Amazon.
delivery will cost more than the book! |

Me too=S IM GONNA HUNT IT DOWN TILL I GET MY HANDS ON IT!
The quote does sound rather harsh..Fran's always been such an inspiration:) I guess everyone goes thru that particular period of time sm point in school.I wanna read it now..But guess its gonna be quite a feat hunting it down=(
But anyways->Where there's a will,there's a way! |
