listening to the older Travis albums after having the Boy on the loop for quite a while now, something strange happened. songs seem to sound different, songs which I couldn't fully get into before suddenly make sense and sound wonderful, a kind of an 'aha' moment and somehow I feel this is because of the Boy.... amazing :)

anybody else feeling that way ?

Songs that I took an immediate dislike to (Walking Down the Hill and Song Sad Song, spring to mind) made so much more sense around two years after I got the album. I think that's because circumstances change and perhaps the content makes more sense than it did previously. The slower, more raw songs seem to make more sense to me now than they did when I first liked Travis.
The "ah-ha!" moments don't relate to TBWNN though ... I can't see the same thing happening with that album :s

The moment Walking Down The Hill changed for me was when it was the first song to come on the PA the first time i saw Travis at the Barras. Now i always remember feeling exceptionally happy to hear it after a brilliang gig and love the song to bits
