most songs(if not all at one point) use the cadenza as a basis- that's normal ( I-IV-V)

C (tonica) F(sub-dom.) G(dom.) - Am (parallel chord - to C) :) not jus pop songs :). Often the dominant is substituted with dominant of the minor chord: like in "Love will come through" or "One night" -

Simple but still: So amazing! :)

I think Jesus and Mary Chain said in 1985/6 something like , all you need is to listen to the 1910 fruitgum company and face your guitar towards your amplifier

Like 50% of the songs back in the 50's and early 60's only contains 4 chords: C, F, G, Am.. Listen to Stand By Me for example...Simple, but awesome, like Nora said ;)

If you add an E and a Dm you'll have the perfect song ;)
