Ah Jaysus, Beggorah.
Tis Saint Patrick's Day to be sure to be sure.
Hope you all have a lovely day on this the day of pure Padyywhackery.
I'm off to be totally Irish by wearing Green, listening to rebel songs, drinking copius amounts of the "Black Schtuff" and having a fight. Nah seriously might go watch the All Ireland Club Finals at Croker, c'mon Killmacud (football) & Portumna (hurling). Myself and Dee went to see The Butterfly Explosion last night (not great but it was only €10, so...) and as Dee is working tomorrow a lazy daay watching the parade on telly may be a better option.
Whatever your plans have a great day, and watch out for the little people...

*edit* Special wishes to the overseas guys (Haz, Edel, Emma, Leila, et al). |

We started off the day with some green eggs (no ham though) and a search for enough green clothing to ensure we wouldn't get pinched.
OK the pinch concern was more on the kiddos side but I was happy to play along.
Aidan was also beyond excited when I told him his name is Irish. I thought we had had this discussion before but I guess not...
I'm wearing a green shirt and a bracelet that used to belong to my grandmother (and whom my daughter Catherine is named after)

I have a shamrock bracelet (that was my grandmother's too! But...she was English so I dont know why she had it) and earings and yet I wore neither. My jacket is green! But...it's hanging by my window.
Good thing Im not Irish or I would be a giant failure.
Work, studying, exam. No green beer for me today.
I'll have salad for dinner. It's green. |

Happy St. Patrick's Day! It's such a nice day here, I really wish I was at the parade! And that I had more green clothes, I'll just really overdo my accent for the day :) |

Violet was very disappointed when she found out that St. Patrick's Day is not the kind of holiday that gets you the day off school. She's having a difficult time understanding exactly what type of holiday this is. She drew a picture last night and said, "I'm giving it to Patrick." Then I had to tell her he's been dead for a reeeeeally long time. But she is wearing a green tie-dye shirt for the occasion. |

I learned last night that I dont have much in the way of green clothing. Unless I felt like wearing a cocktail dress to work. Im making a shamrock fascinator for my St Patty's Day Relay For Life team of Friday. woot.
Happy St Patricks Day! Watch out for wee leprechauns! |
