I think this is probably the coldest temperature I've experienced in my life.

I heard on the radio this morning that if you boiled water and thew it up in the air, it would freeze before it hit the ground. So, we tried it! We made a quick video.
I'd like to try pouring water from our second story window and see if it freezes before it hits the ground. Later perhaps. |

Yep! It looked like a puff of smoke. There were some water drops and went down, but they froze before hitting the ground, too. |

That level of cold is just plain wrong.
That video is so neat! I had never heard that. It's actually very arty how it looks like smoke.
Feel free to come pay me a visit if you need to warm up! |

it is sooooo cold out. -29C im told. Got you beat by 4 degrees. Dont mess with Canada, lol
I had to go to City Hall to pick something up and grabbed a coffee on the way to warm up. I got a few droplets on my scarf and it froze instantly. I couldnt feel my legs by time i got back to my car and my glasses fogged up and stayed that way for a good 5 minutes. Note to self: take metal things off your head before you go out in the cold.
But unlike Kayte...i have felt colder. 2 weeks of -40 in Ottawa in 2004. Almost died.
I read that somewhere WAY up north they had warnings that it could get to -50 or lower!!! I would never leave my house. Ive been inside for over an hour, drank tea, and am still cold

Interesting, have to try that next time it goes below -20 °C! It's ok if it's dry cold with no wind.
It's chilly, I agree, but in the northern parts of Finland it's been around - 35 °C recently (-31 °F), while here on the south coast it's been around zero (Celcius). At the moment the temperature is -9 °C (15.8 °F).
I remember one Winter when it was -30 °C or colder for weeks, that caused some trouble to the public transport. |

I am never complaining of the cold ever again!

Minus 25 is the coldest temperature you've experienced in your life? Well over here it's like that every year! Not all the time of course but for about a week at the very least. lol I think it's a normal temp. during winter.
The coldest I've experienced was about minus 35. I think. |

Just below freezing is normal for this time of year here. My little, old, barely-insulated house is not used to this. The cold air was just pouring through the cracks in the windows. Brrrrrr! I can't wait to see my next heating bill.
Now Don wants to try the Mentos & Diet Coke trick outside. Boys! |
