| I would be very surprised if it was Before You Were Young. If it's anything from Ode, it'll probably be Last Words. BUT I think it'll be a new song. :) Who knows, maybe they thought Lock Me Up was single material? :) |

Lock Me Up = rambling acoustic busk according to Fran, but maybe he's being modest.
If it's from Ode, I'd say... actually I don't know or care really because noone will hear it anyway. Given that they haven't got mounds of b-sides to get through, I can't see why they'd bother really. Maybe they could release it digital only and then there's minimum cost for maximum b-sideage :D |

Well it doesn't matter that much actually. I think Song To Self is the only song on Ode that's really radio friendly and has some potential to do well on the charts. But without promotion and people buying the singles, nothing of that matters as James said.
But the most obvious choice for single #3 would be Last Words... |

I get what you guys are saying about it not mattering because if there is no promotion, the songs won't chart and no one who isn't a massive Travis fan like we are will hear it anyway, BUT that's not really a great attitude to have. It's sort of like giving up. And why give up if you are Travis? One of the most amazing sounding bands ever. I think it's important to try! You never know what could take off and become a big hit. And most importantly, to me at least, is Travis' videos. Their videos are amazing and I want more of them! I want a really GREAT Travis video.
My vote for third single would be Last Words, Chinese Blues, Before You Were Young or Long Way Down. Or, like Ben said, a new song. :) |
