3 questions about production of Ode.

Hello there, I have 3 questions about production of Ode:

1. Why guys chose Emery Dobyns as the producer of Ode album, instead of Nigel Godrich? (Maybe Fran would answer it? :P)
2. What is the 'strange' laugh at the very beginning of "Before You Were Young" for? ;)
3. I noticed the musical instrument used in Before You Were Young (album version) was different from the version in Travis myspace. But somehow BYWY cannot be found in myspace now. Is anyone with me?

1 and 2, not a clue. I can't remember why Emery was chosen but if you read Fran's mixing diaries you can see that he he's held in high regard: about S2S "The mix sounds epic. Emery is fire." ;)

3... well actually I don't know this either but I'm wondering what you mean. Was it just one of the songs on the player and if so how was it different? Which instrument? I guess it's gone because of regular song changing-round.

It's just BYWY different. In BYWY album version, piano comes first. But in myspace version, it's bagpipe or something, rather than piano. I'm not sure. :)
