I thought I was good at photography but Kristy's avatar this week in full size is astounding. I thought she had nicked it off some internet site but she actually took the photo herself.
Now if it was made into a Christmas card it would sell like hotcakes. Someone start a Facebook group to get it onsale for next year

whoah.
you're right.
(and I'd buy more than one if someone found a story about why those people in the middle are forming a circle!) |

aww, thanks D :) That means a lot.
Would have been better if it won be that damn prize!
Hmm, circle. Well, most of them are lined up to get Beavertails so they are in 2 lines for those little buildings on the canal.
Beavertails sounds dirty, doesnt it?
edit: nope, the 2nd line is for beavertails, i think the first one is just a coincidence.
OR, as it was in Ottawa, maybe they were forming an 'O' |

Ooh, cool pic indeed. I like the fact that with the black and white(ish) colouring it looks as if it could've been taken 100 years ago too. Um, well, ignoring the car on the left. And probably countless other things. |

sepia, Lukey. sepia.
Sepia makes everything cooler. I will break out my fav sepia pic one day. It looks like a sketch from about 1872, except it's a photo from 2008.
and thank you.
You have warmed my cold, cynical heart.
It was either you people, or the tea im drinking.

I clicked on this fully expecting some tacky slightly inappropriate picture. Perhaps Santa with a mullet, a beer, and a Playboy magazine.
I totally agree with Darran. This picture is gorgeous and I shake my fist at those Canadians for not voting this picture as #1.

Oh I will show you #1 because I am bitter about it! There were others in the top 10 that I thought were better than mine and deserved to win, but this is the one that actually won and I dont think it deserved it:

oooh, northern lights...pfft.
ps-did I mention that I am bitter?
edit: woops, their name is on it. sorry person. |
