Five years ago, my friends and I joined the music festival.
TRAVIS was one of the invited bands in the festival.
They really touched me and made me impressive.
From then on, I was crazy about this amazing band.
How do you know TRAVIS?
Which song or album do you listen to TRAVIS at first? |

This post should be on the other side(Travis Chat) but since you're a newbie...
Personally, Happy and Tied to the 90's got plenty of airplay on radio back in Paisley so I guess that's where I heard of them first. I still believe Good Feeling is a great album, The Man Who is Ok but by the Invisible Band they were going in a different direction to my tastes, I feel they could have been a much better band, sorta more "rocky", maybe Ash type of stuff. But I could be very wrong as there are plenty people who disagree with me. That said it's my opinion and I'll stick to it.
btw nice to meet you and welcome to the board, I'm Dubz a very opinionated, ranting cynic at times, as I'm sure the others will mention. Welcome, stick around they're not a bad bunch on here.

I went to see Oasis at The Point in 97 and when I asked my mate who was the support band was he replied Tranis.
I fell in love. Not with Fran's Septic shirt or cowboy hat mind you. |

Never heard of them, sorry =) Just kidding ;)
My Travis story aint that long.... The year when TIB was released they played Side on Swedish radio like all of the time. So I fell in love with it and thought "Who sings that song?" So I googled it, found Travis and then I got the album for christmas.
At first I only liked Sing and Side, but after a while The Cage found it's way to my heart and then the rest of the album got me ;)
After my TIB honeymoon I decided to listen to some more so I downloaded some songs from The Man Who(shame on me). I thought they sounded great so I got out to buy the album and then stumbled upon this bootleg album called "The Band Who Are", which I actually thought was The Man Who, so I bought that one ;) At home I realized that it was only live recordings from their The Man Who tour so the next day I bought the real thing ;)
And then The Man Who bacame my second honeymoon with Travis and this on was actually stronger than the one I had before...
Since that I've been a hardcore fan =) |

Of course, it was 97x at the time and I could listen to it in my car. Anyway, they've always supported Travis, but I started listening to the station around the time the Man Who came out. And I loved Driftwood.
Then they were coming to Cincinnati and I decided that I must go see them, even though I had a healing broken ankle and was hobbling around in an air cast and couldn't (Read: Did not want to) stand for more than few minutes at a time. I went to see them anyway. End of story. Fan for life. ;) |

Kind of reminds me of when I played Closer to a friend:
- Oh this song is awesome, who does it?
- Travis
- Yeah and what's his surname? |
