So HBO aired this documentary short about 8 kids living in LA and how they view money called kids + money. At first I thought, "Ugh, just what we need right now, a doc about spoiled American kids. GREAT." The first two girls were 16 and lets just say my initial opinion was... not good. Cringe worthy to be exact:
"It's not really necessary to spend a couple of grand on something you're just wearing to go to class in. But if you want, like, a nice, classic bag? It's definitely appropriate to spend, like, four digits. Because that's something that's really nice."
But then as the documentary progressed, I realized that it just wasn't about kids with rich parents, it was about a wide variety of kids. Ones who were had jobs and worked to get money, ones who had rich friends, but were poor. It was really surprising in the end. It's actually worth a watch.
