Just got back from college after finding out my 'value added' grades (Basically, the grades you are predicted for A level based on GCSE results). I took three GCSE's because I was home educated and they cost wayyyy too much money, but I got good grades in the three that I took. However, I was predicted to get D's and E's in my A levels (without the people who decide this actually looking at my A level work) as they think I only took 1 GCSE! As it happens, I have got A's and B's in all of my mock tests for A-levels.
Is this just me, or do you think they should upgrade this system based on actual A-level work and personal circumstances?
I don't understand the whole "A Level" system thing, we don't have that here, but why do they try to predict your grades? How is that even possible, and why do they feel the need?

Glad you're proving them wrong!
A levels are basically just another level of qualification that you need for certain jobs or to get into university. I have absolutely no idea why they try to predict grades, as we have mock tests for that anyway!
