It is a matter of days before the official Song Showdown battles begin. The Travis songs have arrived with their suitcases, anxious of what lies ahead. The Song Showdown organisers have booked our lucky songs a grand hotel to stay in (complete with swimming pools, arcades and a very fine statue of Fran Healy at the entrance to the hotel's grounds). This is the songs' final chance to relax before the carnage ahead...
Now this hotel has eleven floors. See, 'tis a very large hotel indeed. The first nine floors have seven (very spacious, very sophisticated) rooms, and the last two have six rooms (due to complex architectural reasons involving the slant of the roof... I wont bore you with the details here). Looks like our songs are living the life of luxury.
However, there is one thing our little ditty's don't know. This happens to be that there is a bloodthirsty, song-slaughtering ghost haunting the hotel, known only as 'J. Smith' (not to be confused with one of our songs... it is a very common name after all). J. Smith enjoys making a game out of his slaughtering. He likes to enjoy one kill per floor. Y'see, this maximises the panic because every song has had a murder on their floor, and J. Smith likes panic.
So as our songs go to bed (after a rather long night of rowdy drinking... to be honest J. Smith was a bit pissed off he had to wait so long), our villainous ghost picks up a knife (his favourite methods of killing involves either a knife in the back, an inducing of a heart attack, or running innocents over with a bus... although the latter is sadly unavailable to him tonight), and creeps up the first flight of stairs.
Thing is, ol' Mr Smith needs to make a choice, which song to kill per floor.... hmmm. Huh? What's that? You'll choose? Well, since you offered. I suppose if a song has got to die, it might as well be your least favourite. So, give me one songs per floor, that's eleven songs in total, that you wish to be killed, and hence eliminated from the competition. You evil, bloodthirsty lot...

Well done.
One comment though: the hotel you arranged sucks apparently--both architecturally and security wise. Where is the security when all these precious songs are being killed? Fran should consider removing his statue from the entrance, not after the blood of all the precious songs. Here is the list of the victims (rip):
