It talks about a Hollywood stock character like Natalie Portman in "Garden State" or Audrey Hepburn's Holly Golightly in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." A Hollywood character that exists merely to brighten up the male lead's dreary depressing life. I found it kind of funny because I hate rom coms and I think I just realized why.
There's another article that talks about their existence in real life, and I realized that one of my good friends is sorta of a MPDG, but I know she has more dimensions, she just doesn't show them.
There's some debate whether Kate Winslet in "Eternal Sunshine..." is one. I think in a bad screenwriter she could have been, but I think that movie is kind of the the MPDG cautionary tale almost because she's not so one sided.
What do you guys think?
thats funny , cause a friend of mine just did a book cover and the publisher was telling him they want a image that women will want to be and that men will want for a girlfriend .
