For the sponsorship - just checked this morning! Totally unexpected, but very awesome of you! Your sponsor alone took me over our massive target of raising £2.50!!

I was wondering if that was an accurate goal or if the decimal place was in the wrong spot!
And you are welcome. I've done charity runs like this before and sometimes getting people to donate is like pulling teeth so I try to be nice when others are doing them.

yeah it is, paul is indeed the one whoe will be running for 6k, like a velociraptor dressed as santa. Well worth a photo!

So the Santa fun run was this afternoon. Great fun! Managed to raise a total of £170 for charity, which was much more than I'd hoped for. And found out that 6km is much much further than I expected. Full set of photos here:

forgot to say - no videos of Paul running, sorry Anne!! and what you can't see in the picture of me crossing the finish line - there's an old man just out of shot, who beat me across the line. He looked like he was going to hae a heart attack and he beat me!! I met my Mum and Dad halfway round and stopped for an ice-cream.
Oh and I was gutted - I wished I'd worn my where's wally costume for the starting line. 1000 santa's and there's wally in the mix! Would have been hilarious |

Too bad. And even sadder the ones you have of him running are missing the awkward quality I'm so fond of. Oh well.
The run looks like so much fun. I love that you got to/had to wear Santa costumes. But yes, you as Wally in that crowd would have been phenomenally funny. |

yeah it turns out i'm a short distance sprinter - not a middle distance runner!! I did not enjoy jogging!! I got a stitch after 100 meters, seriously. I thought I was going to throw up.
My personal favourite is the one of us going 'ho ho ho'.
Really good day out all in all. I've kept my santa costume too for Xmas day!!

Hmm. I don't have any Christmas jammies. Maybe Juli can just photoshop a santa hat on my head. She likes doing that, lol. I did see a lady at the mall the other day wearing an elf hat with ears though. I should have snatched it and ran. |
