When I worked for the county government, we got election day off. My children are off school because they use the schools as voting precincts.
Normal working people usually do not get the day off. Their bosses may let them go home a little early, or come in a little late or whatever, but they are under no obligation to do so. |

It depends on your employer. I'd say no for most places of business. I don't get the day off at the newspaper, but my uncle, who is an engineer at Chrysler, does. |

Me too ;) He talked about the percentage of latinos that voted for Clinton, Al Gore, Kerry and what they expect Obama will get. It seems he will get more than Gore and Kerry and be closer to what Clinton got :) |

I was wondering the same thing! Hahaha.
Here we vote on Sundays, so most people don't work. And those who do, generally have a shop or something and they can vote before opening time or after closing time. Here voting is mandatory.
And arriba latinos! xD |

it took me an hour... a whole freakin' HOUR! But I'm glad I went ahead and got it over with, because it's going to be chaos at the polls tomorrow. |
