hey there
just a very quick question:
I'm looking for songs about driving - perfect would be a song about an elderly person getting behind the wheel or sth like that :) as our debate-topic (in class next week) will be "should elderly people be allowed to drive?".

Depeche Mode's Never Let Me Down and Behind the Wheel are the perfect driving songs.
I once had a near crash on a motorway in a snow storm while listening to them… got a bit carried away.
And what about Ian Dury & the Blockheads song "My Old Man", it's about driving a bus.

I was gonna say "Little Deuce Coupe" by The Beach Boys, but I think Kayte's is the best driving song for what you need. :)

"Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere But Not Here" would definitely be my choice, and an alternative to that would be "Fastball - The Way".
You should really consider Porcupine Tree one. It's a great great song and I can see it fitting perfectly to the concept. |
