I thought I’d let you all in on an amazing discovery I made over the weekend – Three Minute Chocolate Cake. For those of you that aren’t the best in the kitchen, this microwaveable delight is right up your alley. It’s the easiest cake you’ll ever make, and better yet, it’s tasty! It’s enough for two people, so share it with a friend and I’d suggest pairing it with some chocolate ice cream. Enjoy!
Minute Chocolate Mug Cake
1 Coffee Mug (or a two cup measuring cup)
4 tablespoons flour (plain, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips
Small splash vanilla
Apply cooking spray to the inside of the mug.
Add dry ingredients to mug and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips and vanilla and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1,000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little and tip out onto a plate.
:)

LOL! It won't. I tried it and it was pretty good. Just use a big micowave-safe mug or a 2 cup measuring cup...that's what I used and it didn't make a mess. :) |

I thought this thread was going to be about how you devoured a chocolate cake in 3 minutes. |

Okay, did it. Tasted a lot better then I expected. But I'd leave out the chocolate chips since they just fall to the bottom. |

I'm so undomesticated I don't have any equipment for this, nor ingredients. I really want to try it. I'd fail as a 1950's housewife. |

Yay! You tried it! Most of the chocolate chips do sink to the bottom, but when you flip it out onto a plate, they're at the top so...it's sorta like having frosting, lol. I was surprised it was that good for a 3-minute cake as well. :) |
