Hi fellow Travis'ers,
I'm wondering about the "Ode To J.Smith"-cover, cause in my eyes it's more than an illustration of an eye - or?
I'm sorry, if this has already been discussed in here - but I couldn't find the topic.
Anyways, the motif obviously looks like an eye, but I think the motif at the same time looks like a vagina - and inside there's a little white sperm cell penetrating the egg cell (black with it's green membrane).
And the meaning? A new life is born, a new little person is on the way - but still unknown. Still anonymous as all the other J. Smiths, Fran is singing about.
Does it make sense - or have I lost it totally??
Luv,
G!

Hmm... I think it's spot on... but haven't heard Fran or any other saying such things about the artwork, though. The more I look at it, the more convinced I am ;-)

Haha... one week, one response. This must be the least responsed Travis-issue in the history of this beautiful messageboard... ever! I must figure out something more interesting to wake up the Travis-society. Wondering...

Hehe... could be interesting to find out, if the second motif is intended from the lads.
Btw it's nice having a footballteam winning games again. I'm wearing my signed Fryatt-shirt with pride once more... ;-)
