Seriously? Didn't summer just start?
As much as I love some things that come along with fall: hockey, sweaters, boots...how is time going so quickly?
Im going to be an old lady in the blink on an eye!
But i will still go to Travis shows and chase after hockey players...with cane in hand. |

It doesn't feel like October here! It's still in the mid 80's!!
But, I know what you mean...time is flying by! |

Time is flying but yeah, I'm with Sandy. Where is fall? It'll start here about mid November.
But I am going to Vermont next weekend!! I still can't believe it. We are going on a belated anniversary trip. Can't wait to see the leaves.
This is unrelated but I don't want to start a new thread but I wanted to share a funny story. I just had to call Dell customer service for work and the person asked my name. I said Anne and he said, "That's spelled Inn, correct?"
No joke. |

I'm an October baby, so I love fall. I love summer too, but I'm so ready for a change! Leaves, pumpkins, doughnuts, apple cider, pumpkin lattes, jackets, hats, boot, scarves! Yay!

Your birthday is just a week away Miss Nikki!
Yes I'm excited about our trip. Fall is pretty wonderful. I loved going to cider mills in Michigan. Nikki, please go to one in my honor. Perhaps they'll be one in Vermont we can go to.
Thanks for the anniversary wish. This is a very belated trip - as our anniversary was in July!
Love,
Inn |

My husband's birthday is Saturday. It's our tradition to go to the apple orchard the first week of October and pick apples and get cider and doughnuts. Then I make him a birthday apple pie instead of a birthday cake. It's always great fun and the kids love it. The place we go to has the BEST apple cinnamon doughnuts I've ever tasted.
But I am already missing summer. I brought out the long sleeve pajamas for the kids last night. Low's in the 40ºF. :o( Around here, it's 3 weeks of autumn and then 6 months of winter. |

I dont know what happened. Last week it was in the 30s (umm, 80s?) and suddently this week it has been 13..14 everyday (60s? I dont know my temp conversions).
For some reason it usually has this weird freaky week of warmth right around thanksgiving though. So i will expect to be wearing shorts on Oct 13th.
To quote Jason Mraz when i saw him in Ottawa in the 2nd week of October a couple years ago when it was scotching out: "This is canada. I packed long sleeve shirts for this. WTF?" (he literally said the letters "W. T. F." made it even funnier.
Oh and Halloween. I LOVE halloween.
Aww, Inn. What a delightful name! You should start a hotel. The Inn Inn. |
