Muchacha = girl
Muchachita = little girl
The "ita" is because it's diminutive (and feminine).
You could also say
muchacho = boy
muchachito = little boy
Not too popular in Argentina either, but I use them a bit.
Thanks for that lesson on "tosser", Moray! Very educational! :o)
I can't wait to use this new word xD. |

Good luck! Hahaha.
I'm helping on this side of the world, but the crusade's not going so well xD.
Ohh! And I thought I could tell you how to say tosser in spanish... well, I don't know if this word is used everywhere, but at least in Argentina, it's a "pajero".
I think in Spain it's "gilipollas", but I'm not sure. |

More on bollocks/bollix
I was looking on YouTube for the Flintstones video of "Here we come on the run with a burger on a bun," (which I could not find) but I found this clip, "Wilma Says Bollocks." After reading some of the comments, it was determined that she said, "bollix" which according to dictionary.com, simply means to mess things up. It is considered "informal" as opposed to "vulgar" bollocks. So I guess there is a difference. It was acknowledged, however, that they both come from the same root word.
Wilma Says Bollocks, but really bollix. |

'Math' annoys me a little bit. Mathematics is the full name so it only makes sense that the shortened form should be 'maths'.
But then why is science not 'sciences', as it involves biology, physics and chemistry... hmm. |
