I realise I'm the only one who thinks this is HILARIOUS, but still: ROFL!!!!!! ;D
(I'm sooo jealous, btw. Wish I could've gone to Paris, too)
Where IS Buxtehude? It sounds amusing for a place name.
it's in the north of Germany, near Hamburg.
and it IS an amusing name, really, because in the south we use it:
- when we can't remember the name of some other place (anywhere in the world)
- when we're talking about a place that's faaar far away (like, at-the-end-of-the-world far away)
- to say... err... "go jump in a lake" (go to Buxtehude!) |

I'm finally online again so it's my turn! Paris with the girls was absolutely lovely, they are awesome! I really had thought it's gonna be a little bit awkward, at least at the beginning but no, they were all amazing! Wendy was the best roommate ever, especially in our hostel which was rather special, lol. And yes, she attracts a lot of random people but it doesn't surprise me as she's so great.
Fred, Juli, Ale and their awesome Argentinian friends were the perfect company as well. I'm really happy I went there!
We met some special people- the bird guy, the random dude at our place who told us the whole life story in less than 5 minutes and of course the cutest little girl ever at Champs Elysses! Let's face it, she LOVED us.
Also major LOL @ Wendy who got lost without me. Seriously guys, my 'real life' friends always think I'm the retarded one when it comes to directions. Hilarious.
I miss you already, girls!
edit: Of course 3 days with Wendy's lovely accent were a special treat! She is also very talented when it comes to learning Polish. And, just as I suspected, Argentinians' English was very very good. Plus they're really pretty. |

It made me so happy to read about your meeting and see these pictures. I am glad that you guys had such an amazing time. Boardie meet ups rule!!
And then to make my joy complete....today I got a postcard from Paris from all the lovely girls. Thanks so much and now I know why Megg was asking for my address. |

Lol! Yeah, your hostel was special, Megg. xD
The little girl at Champs Elysées was so sweet. She kept blowing kisses and waving when she was like a block away, lol. We're that charming. :oP
Thank you all!!! I'm looking at the pictures now and I can't believe I actually met the girls! It was really great. I had such a fun time. :o)
And yes, Wendy's accent was a treat! I heard her "how now brown cow" in person!!! Brilliant. And Megg's accent is lovely too. She has this deep, sexy voice, haha.
Yesssss, Lilly! Buxtehude! It's real and it's gorgeous. It's a town from a fairytale. And I loved Hamburg, Berlin and Prague too.
I'm writing from Vienna now. I haven't seen much of the city yet because we arrived late. My first impression was trains, cabarets and casinos. :oP
I hope you're all well! I miss home.
I'm glad you got your postcard Anne! :o) |

What was that commercial last winter with some guy staying in a hostel with a guy from Norway who blasted techno music? That was funny.
As a joke I was going to suggest staying at the dumpy hotel that Don and I stayed at (twice!!) because of it's awesome horribleness. When I looked it up, I was shocked to discover that they had remodeled and redecorated. Lost all the "charm." I wonder if the hair dryers still draw their air from the neighboring bathrooms? |

Wendy booked a twin room with a private bathroom. We arrived, the guy gave us our key (room no.107 I think). We went there with our luggage- no elevator, extreme staircase that goes round& round& round, mind you! But it was ok, only first floor. We opened the door- 3 beds and some people's bags! So nope, not our room. We went back downstairs (with the luggage). The guy told us he mixed up the keys (our room was no.607). He was cute and funny so we forgave him. So we climbed 6 floors this time!!! We opened the room- there's no bathroom and no sheets! We went downstairs. He told us there clearly was a mix-up, we should have a bathroom but they are fully booked so he can only move us to one room which is very tiny and horrible (his words). So we agreed to stay. Then he went somewhere to get our sheets, it took forever to find them. Oh, and there was no bathroom on our floor! We had to go to the 5th. There was only this tiny little ridiculous toilet which we giggled at all the time. The staircase made us dizzy each time we went down. And the room next to ours was obviously designed for dwarfs! The door was tiny and you had to climb 1 or 2 tiny steps to reach it.
It sounds really terrible, but it wasn't so bad. Actually it was hilarious, at least for me. :) |

I've heard 'weird', 'slow', 'low' and 'odd' before but never these two! Thanks girl! Hahaha, too funny!
Have you met any random Czech people in Prague? I'm asking because all the Czech people I've ever encountered were hilarious and amusing.
Tell all the girls I say 'hello'! :)
