Speaking of Alex, has he even posted lately? Does anyone know if he is OK?
Great idea!!!
Hannah asked me for a European exchange partner because of shipping costs, but maybe she's okay with a US Santa now. I'll ask her on facebook.
Cynthia, what about you? Would you like a new exchange partner? If I didn't have to "economise" right now, I'd do the exchange with you, but I really can't afford another exchange at the moment :(
About Alex:
I think he posted on Juli's FB wall a few days ago, so I'm sure he's OK. He said something about "being madly in love" a while ago, though.
I would exchange again with a new partner, but I can't really afford it right now. . .the shipping charges on Paul's package was brutal, and I went over budget as it was just to include what I wanted to send. Oh well, c'est la vie! If there's another exchange via the Travis board next Christmas, I'll sign up again and cross my fingers for better luck. :) BTW, in a little bit I'll go ahead and post pics of what I sent to Paul. . . |

personalized guitar ornament since he's a musician and all
In keeping with a music theme, drumstick pencils
And finally, an assortment of candy: Ghiradelli chocolates (in the tree-shaped container), a little M&M guy filled with M&Ms, Toffeemacs (toffee with macadamia nuts covered in chocolate) - from Hawaii, which isn't my home state, but is a state :), and a little Snickers and Reese's peanut butter tree |

Everything came in the Red Wings bag. At first, I thought "how did she find this in Mexico?!" But it's handmade!! Alma's mom made the bag and Alma painted it! It's so perfect it looks store-bought! There was one more candy that's not in the picture because I already opened it. It's like a fruit-rollup basically but with REAL fruit, not like the kind we have here. The pretty blue scarf is hand-made in Mexico and so is the jewelry! Oh, and so is the cute little Mexican doll, which my mom put on our Christmas tree. I love it, Alma! Thank you so much!!!
I'm so glad you liked it, Nikki! :o) The Red Wings bag was kind of the big present, not because of the price of it but for the meaning that has for you (and for me 'cause I only give those type of bags to people a really care and love :o). All my family says I should sell them, I'm not sure yet xD). Awww, you're mom is so cool! :o) You're welcome, Nikki!
I don't have my pressie yet, hope it arrives soon! *fingers crossed* I'm getting desperate! xD
Wonderful presents everyone! I will definitely participate next year! This is way too exciting and cool! |

My present arrived this morning!! Ale and I both thought it had been lost in the post! Ale, I love it! Thank you sooo much!! :-D
Here it is before I open it!
Georgeously wrapped!
Here's all of the amazing presents!!! ^_^
The alfajores! Going to have one tonight to start the new year!
Cow socks!!
Absolutely amazing handbag!! By some strange coincidence, it matches my hat, scarf and gloves that I got from my family for christmas! Go Ale! :-D
Thanks again to Ale and Lily for organising this, it's been so much fun! :-D
P.S. What do you mean terribe handwriting and non-existant wrapping skills? The presents were wrapped beautifully and your handwriting and spelling is far better than mine! :-P |

Oh, great gifts, everyone!!
Too bad to read about what happened to Cynthia and Hannah, hope they have better luck next time.
I'm still waiting for mine... trying to be patient but the Post Office is not helping! Fortunately, Melissa told me she got her parcel just fine *phew* |

I didn't realise that, either. oh dear :( and Hannah seemed so happy about the prospect of having found a new Santa in Cynthia :(
She lives in the UK, Cynthia (and you wanted a British or German Santa, right? ;D), so maybe, if you find money on the streets or something, you two can do an exchange later this year :)
P.S.: Just saw the pictures of Cynthia's pressies for Paul - awesome stuff!!! I can't believe he hasn't sent you a message or anything - he could at least say thank you.
So, we're banning Paul_C and Alex from participating in the next exchange, right? |

aaarrrggghhh....
un.believable.
If I get this right, 3 out of 4 male participants have proven to be unreliable, the only mixed-gender-partnership that worked out fine was the Juli&Moray one (well, if we forget about the dirty louse of a thief who stole Juli's scarf *sigh*) ... ...
I'm so pissed off right now, this isn't right... and the worst thing is that we can't DO anything about it :(
I'm so sorry, especially for Cynthia and Irene since they've already sent off their presents :(
There's still hope, though... maybe Paul and Mehmet will come to their senses in January!!
I really got to get back to my econ-books now, real life is waiting. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Irene and Cynthia - and if someone wants to do another exchange, I think Hannah (kiwi) would be happy to do it (contact her via PM if you're up for it).

Yayyy!!!! Moo, I'm so glad it arrived and that you like it!
It's great that the handbag matches your scarf, hat and gloves!
About the wrapping, you have no idea how much it took me to do it! Hahaha, handicrafts are not my strength!
I'm so happy this ended happily!! :)
About the failed exchanges, I hope not everything's lost and that the missing partners appear soon! Especially the ones whose presents have already been sent! |

You're welcome, Mili! I'm happy to see the petoskey stone didn't crack in two. I had forgotten the bubble wrap. I hope your Junior Mints aren't filled with duds. Being cold, I think you have a better chance that they will be ok. Happy New Year! |
