bravo ric!:)
i think this is somewhat appropriate considering the amount of ass-kicking your girls were involved in.

She Devils, it's that time of year again. That's right: it's Devil's Night!!
Apparently Detroit is getting over 10,000 volunteers to help patrol and keep people from burning the city (again). Seems a waste to me.
I know if the two of you just drove around on your bikes all would be well.

Ha ha, Anne you beat me to it...I was just preparing this:
Devil's Night. Seems to be a Mid-Western US thing mainly. (Correct me if I'm wrong...anyone else heard of Devil's Night?) It is a tradition of playing pranks the night before Halloween. Generally soaping windows and TPing (toilet papering) trees and houses, throwing eggs, that kind of thing.
But back in the 80's, Detroit kicked it up a notch by beginning a tradition of trying to burn down the city. 810 fires in 1984. I remember seeing it on TV. The fire departments couldn't keep up, obviously. (I should add, these are usually abandoned, vacant houses that are EVERYWHERE in Detroit, but they get out of control and spread to people's homes.)
Things have gotten better over the years, due to a large volunteer program, called Angel's Night. But it is still a big concern. The better the weather on Devil's Night, the worse the fires are usually. Weather is expected to be fairly nice tonight.
It's so cold in the D.
