The lady speaks sense. "never" doesn't make any sense with the 2nd line. It's Mothers.
Thankyou, I thought nobody was listening to me. |

Because everyone else hears 'Never'. I still hear never. Sounds nothing like mothers. Never is as clear to me as 'coming'.
Although i have no idea what it is supposed to be. |

I honestly always thought it was "never" but listening to it closely now I think it is "mothers" but then I think I hear "never" again sometimes, confusing lol but yeah I think it is "mothers" |

My vote goes to "never", too. I was pretty sure but the first post in this thread has confused me...
Fran, can you help us? |

When Fran performed this live, he introduced it as a song about when you leave home and break away from the safety of your family for the first time.
So my vote is for "Mothers see it coming around"
It makes sense! :)
Fantastic song, and since I read this thread, it's stuck on a loop in my head. Wonderful! |

hmmmm this is really quite interesting! Seems that 'mother' is more logical but what I can't understand why I should hear 'never' I mean if you say never, no way does it sound like mother ! puzzling lol |

well i still stick by hearing 'never'..but 'mothers' does make the more sense..mayybe Fran sings both depending on how he feels?
Like i mean, it could mean 'mothers never see it coming around' like theyr'e totally oblivious..so fran sings both..i know that doesn't make sense...blahh this is annoying me...but i'm just trying to make me feel better by thinking i'm not goingg craazzyyyy
i say never..
no mothers
no never..
NEVERRR :)
