i saw the album title in this daily record story and thought it might be a fluke... esp. since the journalist said "Andy DunBAR" was the band's guitarist. (*shakes head*). fran's friend emery will be producing.

Yes... I was thinking that too
That makes sense. |

Has the new album title been officially announced yet as "Ode To J. Smith"?
I know they have officially recognised the songs in the band blogs, but I don't believe that I have seen Fran, Dougie or the Travis Web Team actually say that it is the title. Some confirmation of information would be nice, if you read this please. Thanks! |

No its not official but we're all fully expecting it to be called that. So I think we can safely say its called Ode To J Smith which is a great name. Better than The Boy With No Name. Also, I have an idea it might be the first Travis album without the band on the front cover... we'll have to wait and see. :) |

A lot of those who comment on the new songs were at the concerts, the rest of us just try to get the feel for them through those phone cam recordings. |

I've got a better recording sent to me. Don't know which one from though I know it isn't Nottingham. That's how I know the songs. As well as being at the Nottingham gig. Not heard them in about a month though, trying to wait for the album now. :) |

oneofthe3 you're right. I've just come from the travis concert and they said that j.smith is the most common name in UK, when you look at the phonebook you can find out many j.smiths., so they've chosen "ode to j.smith" as the album name. |
