OK I told Nikki I'd tell her but I might as well share it with all:
the story of the bunny that is in my current avatar.
This will be the waaaay condensed version. My senior year of high school my choir went to NYC and sang in Carnegie Hall. My best friend and I decided to borrow this bunny from this old lady's yard and take pics of him all around NYC (Note: this was before that was a big thing to do and definitely before orbitz and that gnome)
So we got him and took him around. We called him Bunny Foo-Foo and had lots of fun taking pics with him at all the landmarks. It's hard to see since the pic is tiny but there is actually someone crouched behind me (he was wearing a green jacket too) holding the bunny between us.
When we got back we made a photo album with captions to leave with the bunny when we took him back. For example, "here I am in Central Park enjoying a pretzel" or "here I am at the United Nations. They searched me for a bomb. It tickled." (I got a security guard to pose with him)
We left him and the album at her front door. Later some cops came into the restaurant we worked in and Jessi (my best friend) heard them talking about "the bunny foo-foo case." She thought they were messing with her (the cops ate there all the time so it was plausible that one of the waiters had asked them to pretend there was something going on).
Unfortunately it was true! The old lady read the album and when she read the caption about the United Nations she thought, "oh my goodness! Someone has left me a bomb!" She called the sheriff who she was friends with who CALLED A BOMB SQUAD.
The cops said that this could be a federal offense since we took stolen property over state lines but that if we went and apologized that hopefully charges wouldn't be pursued. They thought most any judge would appreciate the humor and throw the case out anyway.
So we apologized and she was really embarrassed about it all.

I'm trying. I don't take a lot of crap but they are a tough opponent. The mold count here has been really high. I think it's getting cold again so that'll go down but then I'll have another horrid day of head and earaches from the pressure change.
