Hanne, whether you keep your mittens or not, here is a short video I just saw posted on twitter about them. It's pretty cool, and a short watch.

SANTA wore them!
And I just had a couple of the Guld chocolates and they are delish. They taste pretty similar to Riesens, but easier to chew! |

Thanks again to Lucia! I felt so bad that the candy never made it to her. It must have been the same people who took the scarf and chocalate that Moray sent Juli. Thankfully the package I sent to her for Christmas arrived safely. Thanks to Eldoie, Lucia, and Lilly for being the elf.
I'm so glad you liked them =D
Actually, I'm an Elf!:

ROFL.
thanks Anne, now we're just waiting for Kayte to show us the SNOWBALL so certain people (*whistles*) can actually see it ;P
I'll be back in a sec in my elf-uniform, because of some official business. Someone has broken the code of the Secret Santas and I'm afraid we must ban him from the next exchange...
back in a sec. |

so.
I never thought I'd have to do this, but I just got a message from Hannah/kiwi about her FAILED exchange with Alex.
After the announcement of the exchange partners, she had to chase Alex for weeks so he'd show any reaction to her being his Santa etc. Then he finally reacted. Days later, HE showed up on the board, complaining about Hannah, who hadn't answered his message for some time. If I remember correctly, he even wanted another exchange partner. (Remember, it was Hannah who'd chased after him for weeks in November.)
Okay, so now Hannah tells me the exchange never happened, since she got tired of chasing him and he never got back to her in December.
I don't think Alex should be allowed to participate in the next exchange...
what do you think?
or maybe whoever organises the next one could just make extra sure that Alex is serious about participating...
SO. NOW.
WHAT ABOUT IRENE AND MEHMET'S EXCHANGE?? Did you postpone it to January 6 (Epiphany/Día de Reyes Magos)??? |

I still haven't heard a peep from Paul C. I have pictures of his package that I could post, but that's not how this is supposed to work. And I tried to be such a good little elf. . . :( |

Well that's a bummer. I don't know what Hannah and Cynthia got for Alex and Paul but perhaps they could do a New Year's exchange with each other?
Speaking of Alex, has he even posted lately? Does anyone know if he is OK? |

Great idea!!!
Hannah asked me for a European exchange partner because of shipping costs, but maybe she's okay with a US Santa now. I'll ask her on facebook.
Cynthia, what about you? Would you like a new exchange partner? If I didn't have to "economise" right now, I'd do the exchange with you, but I really can't afford another exchange at the moment :(
About Alex:
I think he posted on Juli's FB wall a few days ago, so I'm sure he's OK. He said something about "being madly in love" a while ago, though. |

All in all I think this exchange was a superb idea! I had a lot of fun "tinkering" my present for Mer and it was much much more fun to unwrap hers.
It also is a good way to get in touch with each other find out what the other one likes and how one can pleases the other.
Too bad there were some issues like this evil thief, and our guys who aren't -available- at -the- moment...
but I guess I will defintely take part in such a thing again. :) And next time I'll also try to meet the deadline of Nov. 30th :D
about the shipping costs...It's weird; US was much more expensive than Argentina and Uruguay...although neither size nor weight were that much of a difference.
So again, thanks to whoever arranged all this, it was a pleasure to take part and I can't wait for the next one! |

Moo and I had a really troubled exchange. Her present hasn't arrived yet, next week expires the period of time I have to wait since I sent it before making a complaint at the post office (1 month).
On the other hand, my present, the one she sent me, was opened by someone who works at the mail. When I first saw the parcel I noticed it was battered and there were other suspicious things (it was wrapped in two kinds of tape, for example, and there wasn't a customs form), but I didn't pay it much attention and thought it was because of the trip. I didn't open it on Christmas because I was waiting for Moo to get her present, but after what happened to Juli and Moray, I put two and two together and opened it to see if there was something missing.
Luckily, they only took part of a badge she sent me (they left the pin, haha).
She got me a Rochester Castle keychain and a ruler, a rose pink bath cone, a lovely teddy bear-photo frame, a funny penguins card and two Lindt chocolates (one is Santa and the other one is a reindeer).
Here are the photos!
That tiny picture there was supposed to be inside the photoframe, but the person who searched the package decided to put it inside the envelope with the card (?).
I'm really happy with all my presents!! I love them!!! So THANKS AGAIN, MOO!!!!! :)
I hope we can sort out the problem of the missing parcel soon.

Everything appeared to be a go. We exchanged addresses, etc. I was out of town over Christmas and thought something might be here when I picked up all of our held mail from the post office, but no such luck. |
