The tour is a bit sh!t unless you are heavily interested in Guinness and brewing through the years etc. Mind, you do get to visit the "Sky" bar which gives a nice view of Dublin city.

Last time I was there the Guinness wasn't even that good, and was poured by an Aussie... (btw I'm not being racist there is an art to pouring it)

btw Nikki if you do get to drinking Guinness you will get to know the difference between a good pint and a not so good pint. Best places to drink it are "old man" pubs. Usually cause the barman knows if he serves up a crap pint he'll get it straight back.

Dubz

I'm not so bad at it either. Especially my ability to turn any thread into a hockey thread.

My mother in law was precribed Guinness for the doctor in the 80's for its high content in iron!

Dubz, do you also like it with blackcurrant cream?
In my london days I spent lots of time in Kilburn, Buddy mulligan's for those who might know, and some irish people had it like that : it had a kind of ice cream guinness taste.

Did you know you can survive on Guiness and Guiness alone for 3 months, such is it's nutritional value. Although you may have to go on a major detox afterwards.

Also they used to prescribe it to pregnant women in Dublin.

a vitimin c supplement would be recommended to avoid scurvy.

a note on arthur guinness, its inventor:
Guinness was a young Christian man who was once walking the streets of Ireland crying out to God, "God do something about the drunkenness on the streets of Ireland." Everyone was getting drunk on whiskey, there were whiskey houses, gin houses, etc. and his cry to God was do something about the alcoholism on the streets of Ireland and he felt God speak to him. In fact he felt God say this: "Make a drink that men will drink that will be good for them."
