I'm nitpicking here, sorry, but I think that font is P22's London Underground, which is based on the original Edward Johnston's designs for the use of London transport system. Eric Gill was influenced by Johnston's work when designing his Gill Sans , and I seem to remember Gill working with Johnston at some stage.
Capital J in Gill Sans is different, it goes below baseline.

Very interesting and worthy read, thanks intelligent people!!
As I haven't heard any of the new material, this makes it even more exciting and I really LOVE the ambitious spirit beeing what seems to be (from your posts) the future new album. |

Agree with you Paul... all makes very interesting reading, it really does. maybe I'm just jealous that I have not heard any of the new songs but I think this is a bit over-analizing. |

I can take some pics of the set list sheet they handed out. I'll have them up in just a sec.
EDIT: here they are + the back of the t-shirt with the wings and stuff. Don't think anyone's posted it yet.

This thread has the lyrics and some varying latin translations. No back-of-t-shirt though, so thanks for that :) |

I know, but I wanted to put up the whole set so people could see the whole thing. Interesting how this all links together. Praying hands, "order of service", Fran posting the death mask - I love all the theories popping up :P
And you're welcome btw :-) |

I'm very ignorant, and even more if it's in a language that's not spanish, but what's an "order of service"? |

In the context of church, it would be the schedule of events. |

Thanks for posting the T-shirt. Does anyone know what the front of it looks like? Is it the one that says "Ode to J. Smith"? I really like the colors and the little wings on the back. Looks to me like Fran probably designed the wings...they look very similar to the ones he drew on the back of Sandy's Selfish Jean T-shirt. I hope they sell something similar when they tour. I think it's pretty cool. :) |

I think Fran designed the wings as well because after several shows I attended on the latest US tour in July, he would sign several of the "Art Music Jaffa Cakes" shirts and he'd add those wings. Maybe this is an idea that's been percolating in his head for some time.
