The Killers,
I thought the were just another one of these bands at the time, you know all the "The" bands, the libertines, etc.. but I really like Hot Fuss and Sam's Town is brilliant, I've nothing to back it up with tho' It's just a feeling I get.
Dubz
Nemo me Impune Lacessit
P.s. I reckon Cash's popularity owes a lot to Rick Rubin and the American recordings, America IV The Man Comes Around made him trendy once more also appearing at Glastonbury didn't Hurt, (Hurt, hehe, geddit??)

those maybe helped with the last generations of fans but he always had a healthy fan base , even with the hardcore punk rockers . A friend of mine has Cash recordings of him reading scriptures and swears by it , " great drama " he says
i reget missing his last show here with the Tennesse two |

I concur, Also the Roots. I like them.
I'd alo like to throw Mos Def into the mix!
and i completely agree with you Lauren...hip-hop and rap=two different things. |

There must be tons of bands I could put under this classification as my mood changes often and I can love or hate something all of a sudden. But The Kooks is the one just came off the top of my head. I remember hating them when I saw them in Top of the Pops (RIP) a while back. Then somehow I got the CD and I quite liked it except Ooh La and She Moves in Her Own Way type of mickey mouse tunes.
I could tell the same for CSS too. I couldn't even take their videos on tv but after seeing them live in a festival I was hooked! |
