I started playing guitar because of Travis. Besides the Beatles, they're the band that really got me into music. Fran's lyrics inspire me -- the messages in the songs he writes. Plus, I'm a writer and a journalist. He inspires me to keep writing. On top of that, I just think Fran has a good soul. He's a good person.

It can save so many lives and, if it can't do that, then it can give some very ill people a few more months of life.

there was a series on channel 4 recently about illiterate adults learning to read. one of the success stories was of a grandmother ( i think she was in her 50's).
it was amazing watching her change as everything just eventually clicked. |

I watched that too: Can't Read, Can't Write
I think the education system would be far better if we cloned Phil Beadle and put him as headmaster in every school.

Is that the same laptop that you forgot to turn off last night?
I'm a bit tired. I'm looking forward to a rest.

Tim Henman used to be my inspiration. It was the fact that the man never gave up... Until he finally gave up. Now I feel a bit lost without him but am turning to Paula Radcliffe in my hours of need. |
