That is fantastic. The only thing bigger than the girl's judgy preachy attitude is her bangs.

And then the end when she shows she's a big ol' hypocrite.....love it!

Those hairstyles look all too familiar.

I am sad to say that I had a mum one year. I was nice and agreed to go to the dance with my friends bf's friend and I got a ridiculous mum as my prize, lol. Mine was rather large with a teddy bear, little cow bells, and, yes, it had lights. I was so embarassed that day, but I did it out of the kindness of my heart. That was my freshman year and I never even went to a HC dance again!

Wow, those were some big bangs! I thought we had them big in Utah, but those were enormous!

I still cannot believe people walk around school with those things on. Seriously. I'm kind of in awe right now that people actually think this is a grand idea. This is all so foreign to me! My sister-in-law was born and raised in Texas...I'm going to have to ask her about her experience with this.

I would like more details about the lights. Did you have some sort of battery pack? A switch to turn it on and off?

I think what we really need here is a PICTURE!

I think I had seen a picture of one of those hideous things but I never knew what they were called. During homecoming here, each grade got to decorate a float and they were paraded around the track during halftime. Each day during Homecoming week at school, there was usually some weird/random dress up day like school colors or pajama day and stuff like that.

P.S. Don't mess with Texas.

P.S.S. I heart Friday Night Lights.

It had a small battery pack in the back of the mum with an on/off switch. The lights were surrounding the bear on/in the mum itself. My friend's sister made it and was so proud of it. It was HIDEOUS!!!

I do not have any pictures and will not ask my parents to dig them out. That is one memory I'd love to forget.

I don't recall if they flashed or not. And nope, not blue. My memory isn't the best now, I can't even remember my date's name.

Oh lordy! I also had never heard of homecoming mum's, but I thank you Anne for enlightening me.

I do have to say though, that this is one of the more bizarre things that I have ever heard of/seen. Why the f*ck would you WANT to be seen wearing one of those things??? What's wrong with these kids??????

I'm not sure if I should really post this, but I guess it's fair to confess that certain people do like "decorations", too, in Bavaria. It's just that they don't give them to human beings *ahem*

I spy with my eye something brown...

Could it get any more cliché-y?

I'm afraid this is real, it happens every year when summer-season comes to an end for happy Bavarian&Austrian cows: The "Almabtrieb".
