My favourite 'lyricist' bands are Bell X1. They're extremely intelligent in what they write. I've found myself laughing out loud to some of the new songs the first time i've heard them.
"She said "I don't believe in any old Jesus, if there was a God, then why is my arse the perfect height for kicking?"
and
"Like those Holy souvenirs from Knock, that come all the way from China"
[Knock is a religious tourist attraction in Ireland- where visions of the Virgin Mary have been reported] |
