Alright! I think I am appropratly apathetic about the situation. My i-pod is always the most important thing in the room anyway. ;)

Scene 16
setting , The Beach Chalet on the Great highway , a so so restaurant but at the edge of the city , by the beach , at the end of the West Coast . Megg wearing a blue/green Suzy Wong dress and with her hair pilled up on top . Moray is waring a sleeveless denim vest , wife beater and a kilt with flip flops , he has defiantly arrived in Cali . They are sitting at the outside patio near the edge of Golden Gate Park
Waiter - " Would you like any drinks "
Moray - "the lady will have a Kamikaze and I'll have a pint of anchor with a shot of wild turkey "
waiter leaves after writing the info down
Megg- "Trying to get me drunk ? "
Moray - " Just trying to lighten up a weird week , So what is it you do ? "
Megg - " i've been earning a little money singing here in the City and on occasion with the Country Soul brothers at the saddlerack in Fremont . "
Moray - " Fremont ? why out in redneck ville ? "
Megg - " They're not bad , they like my songs . i'm really here because my brother was wounded in Iraq and is at The VA . I'm trying to get him to Kaiser on Geary because I understand their brain specialist is top notch from the universidad de Mexico . "
Moray - " I hope there's hope for him how did you get those dark eyes "
Megg -" I have Spanish blood as they say but I think so . I do like it here , it beats my old job smuggling gold for the Argentina crime syndicate "
moray - "Smuggling gold you say , Tell me about it how do you travel between countries so freely ? "
Megg - " Schengen Agreement lets me travel freely "
Moray , in a fake German accent - " Then give me the microfilm "
They both laugh .
Camera pans to the bushes nearby . Mozman is watching , Mary is with him holding a large bag .
Mozman ( towards Mary ) - " our boy is trying to be a charmer "
Mary - "yes , but my head hurts "
Mozman - "don't worry ( and starts reciting ) there was an old lady who swallowed a fly but I don't know why she swallowed a fly "
Mary goes blank
Mozeman ( to himself ) " she's fighting the treatment , she's got some firece will there . Mary you wait by the car in case they go there instead of the beach as planned . "
she leaves
Cuts to a hospital triage , remnants from the quake
Mooming badger - " Dr Monkey Look ! They've brought Alma in , I wonder where shes been "
Alma is in triage , sleeping or still knocked out .
Dr Monkey runs to check and turns to Nurse Moomin Badger
Monkey - " I've got to check on that gunshot victim from outside that biker bar fight , Police shot him while he attempted to shoot them , must be dangerous "
Moomin - " Aye be careful Andrew , I'll be watching Dr Alma "
Monkey walks over to Esteban
Monkey - " officers leave him alone while I speak to my patient ( to esteban ) Feeling alright ? "
Esteban- " You think I don't have a pair ? whats wrong with that woman over there ? "
Monkey- "Dr Alma must of been hurt in the quake but don't worry about it . you're lucky , that was close to an artery . "
Esteban - " just a flesh wound "
Monkey - " well don't try and escape , you can still bleed to death . "
Esteban - " give me something for the pain , make it a double , and shut up or grow a fucking pair "
moomin badger - " Dr she's moving "
Alma - ( groggy ) " where am I who are you people ? "
cuts to outside the resterant Megg & Moray are holding hands , it's sunset they cross the road
Megg - " moray I must tell you something "
Moray - " not this just be friends crap ? "
Megg - " no something about my former work "
Cuts to Buenos Aires |
