Speaking of which, at one point Rudy Guliani said something about how no one mentioned 9/11 in their speeches at the DNC in Denver... wha? What does that have to do with anything? I'll say it again... WEAK.
Yes! I had the exact same reaction! I was like "Are you serious???" No one will ever forget Sept. 11th and the way it changed this country, but what is mentioning it in a speech seven years later going to do?? The only reason Rudy Guliani mentions it is because that tragedy is the only reason he's a popular politician. He just happened to be mayor of NYC when it happened. He didn't do anything extraordinary. Any other person in that position would have done the same. He's riding on that tragedy to stay in the public eye. WEAK is right.
If anyone else was in that situation, they would have been commended too. I mean, it just seemed like he was praised for not pulling a cut and run. I think the grief and pain everyone felt through attacks brought everyone together. I mean no disrespect, thanks for not cutting and running, but c'mon. |

It's not so much the choice of an abortion that's at issue here. The ironic part about the situation is that Sarah Palin doesn't believe that schools should teach sex education. She believe in abstinence only education. Maybe if she would have told her daughter about safe sex and responsibility instead of just saying "don't do it," her 17-year-old daughter might not be pregnant.
I thought it was something like that.
My husband just read me a list of things Palin supports, dreadful! Shooting wolves from an airplane, doesn't accept that polar bears are endangered…
"She has also opposed the federal listing of the polar bear as an endangered species. She is a promoter of aerial hunting, in which wolves and bears are shot unsportingly from airplanes. She offered a bounty of $150 a foreleg to hunters who shot more wolves."

Unbelievable, why do republicans think that they're cowboys and above the law, above karma? things like hunting and killing and stealing and lying are not good things, but they don't seem to care and they have enough money to have gotten away with it for a loooong time. Once, bush was asked if he cared what historians will write about him or what affect his policies will have had on our environment in 50 years,he replied,"It doesn't matter,We'll all be dead by then." are you fn kidding me... |

When Joe Biden was running for prez he said that every sentence out of Guliani's mouth contained a noun, a verb, and 9/11.
On SNL Weekend Update they quoted that and then said Guliani's response was, "Biden can suck 9/11" |

I watched McCain's speech. My favorite part was a cut to the audience where they showed some guy holding up a sign saying something like "McCain is a Mavrick!"
I really can't remember the first part because I couldn't believe someone misspelled Maverick on a sign that might be seen on NATIONAL TV.

That one was good too. Because my first thought was, "why are they calling him a raisin?" and then I realized they were trying to be hip.
Also was one of the protesters they dragged out in drag? Hot pink dress? Had to be, right? |

How about the "we love cindy" signs, for the first half hour, i was trying to figure out who the hell cindy was, then when i realized it was macs wife, i was scratching my head trying to figure what the fk there is to love about her, and what that had to do with anything that was going on |

Kerry was accused of being unpatriotic , they were just hedging their bets .
The list of who brought shame to the Republican party ? where would you start and stop on that list ? Quite a few in it also . |

Haha! I loved the fact that protesters were there being carried out by security while flashing the peace sign. It made it more entertaining because I nearly fell asleep during McCain's speech.
LOL! Anne, I saw that sign and was cracking up!! What's up with this whole Maverick thing anyway? I just find it really annoying. It's like the base supporters of that party have turned into a bunch of jock football players. "Yeahh!! WAR WAR WAR! USA USA! Let's go blow up some shit!!!" Mindless fools.
And I love how McCain said he's going to stop giving money to other countries and that got the loudest cheer of the night. Right. That's smart. Make other countries hate us even more than they already do. How about ending a pointless war. Maybe that'll save some cash...not to mention save lives.

what network did you guys watch it on? i watched it on cbs with katie curic acting like she was at a rock show, trying to fire up the viewing audience, telling us how wild and crazy it was there, when to me, the place looked half empty and the only ppl i saw screaming and cheering were rich folk trying to hold on for dear life to their money |
