nikki, i saw them win the cup a few months ago, congrats. i have to admit i was cheering for the penguins to push it to seven games just to make it more interesting. the redwings were obviously the better team. all we have here, sdly are the kings, who are dreadful...ugh. but we got you in basketball, and we're doing a little better in baseball, i think, we don't have a football team but then neither do you (come on, the lions?)what other sports do you like? do you play any?

Oh yes. Everyone loves to bash on the Lions. No, you have a right to. We are horrid and always have been. It's a joke. At least we have three other solid teams. I love all sports! I also really like college football. Go Blue! But hockey is like my favorite thing in the world. :D I've been watching my Stanley Cup Championship DVD to get me through the summer. I was at the parade too! It was awesome!!! You should just become a Wings fan, lol! I've already sorta converted Ric!

The Wings home opener is the day before or after my B-day this year, so I'm thinking about going to that game and also heading out to Chicago for the outdoor game vs. the Black Hawks on New Years if I can find someone crazy enough to go with me and sit in the cold!

Nikki gets one third credit for making me a redwings fan. The other is my friend motown JC and final third was the redwings . I watch a bit of a game where one was fouled and a redwing threw done his helmet and royaly WAILED on the other team .

Kayte should get a assist too .

I'm curious, what do you consider to be the best club (for concerts) where you live? Here in L.A. I would have to say that the Troubadour in West Hollywood kicks every other club's ass! I saw Travis there for the first time back in 2000 and the show was amazing! it's a really intimate place, you can stand right in front of the performers, and I have.

The Wiltern also kicks ass, it's got the best sound, no doubt about it. I have seen Travis there 2 times.:-)

I live in Bournemouth... which unless I'm really not up with the cool kids, only really has 2 venues aside from smaller pubs and stuff. The Old Firestation which is in it's name, an old firestation... run by my uni which always has awesome bands doing their university tours, and a club too. Then there's the Bournemouth International Centre, which I haven't been in (no Travis dates, I note!!!) which is more for bigger acts.

Limerick has The Trinity Rooms, which is a meh venue/club, and Dolans which is in an old warehouse, and bloody expensive. Also a few other places for smaller bands.

at times very much so, other times very mellow . garage / punk / country are usually the acts. They had a country vrs punk night that was pretty rockin. the punks would go to the back during the country and the cowboys would go to the back during the punk . Only fight was when one of the country acts girlfriend got uber wasted and punched out her best friend
