One of my friends has just come back from her trip to New York and she said she almost died from the heat so if I were you, I'd go in the Winter.
Eeeek don't like the sound of that. Looks like it'll be Winter or Springtime then. |

ya it is ridic hot and humid in this general area (im about an hour flight away) in the summer. And with NYC you get the added downtown-y smog and cars and things that add to it. |

deebee, ice skating in Central Park would be awesome. The Empire State Building has an elevator to the top so it isn't very taxing to get to the top. It is quite a view but it is open and therefore quite windy up there. Depending on the temp this could be pretty miserable.
Broadway shows, some are definitely worth it; really just depends on the show. You'll just have to see what's playing when you go.
There are many amazing museums there. As I said the Met is the mother but there are loads of other ones.
Times Square is not my favorite place but I guess you have to see it. It might give you a seizure though, all the lights. I went there before they cleaned up the drugs and the porn shops and while I prefer it clean, I wish they hadn't gotten it so squeaky clean. It's too touristy now.
Chinatown is neat to walk around in. |
