That's so strange! We've had many corrupt people in charge here in Argentina over the years. Some of them were judged and arrested after they finished their term or removed from office thanks to a political trial. I'm not sure if a mayor or president or governor can be in jail while he's still in charge here.

He won't resign. People keep petitioning for it. The County Executive has asked him to resign or at least take a leave of absence. He won't do it.

Crazy enough, there are still a lot of people who support him and think he's doing a good job. (Huh? Really?)

Nikki, I bet Steve Wilson is just giddy with delight!

(Steve Wilson is a reporter who has dogged the mayor's footsteps catching him doing wrong at every possible opportunity.)

what is his reasoning for not stepping down? being a ass hat?

At this point, I think "In the Ghetto" would be more appropriate.

I just had to add this. A quote from Barbara Rose Collins of the Detroit City Council:

"I think it's kind of silly to lock the mayor up for going to Windsor. Windsor's across the street. I mean, he didn't leave the country!"

So, Windsor, Ontario is across the street from Detroit and is part of the United States. Interesting.

I really really wish this was a joke. It's beyond sad.

Do you remember the lady who was on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" and the question was "what is the only city in the continental U.S. that you have to drive south to get to Canada?

The answer is Detroit. I wouldn't expect everyone to know that but the lady was FROM Detroit and she wasn't sure. She was even saying, "well I know you go south on I-75 but I'm just not sure...."

YOU JUST SAID DRIVE SOUTH TO CANADA LADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stupid people should have to get their mouths sewn shut. They can eat through a tube.
