And Lauren, you are so right! They made it seem like a slip and slide, washing your car and pot luck dinner parties are ghetto, LOL!
And going to the Farmer's Market and the neighborhood pool. GASP! That must have been rough.
That was indeed LAME.

Yeah, sliding around on your lawn on a piece of plastic drenched in water is soooo ghetto. Actually, homemade slip in slides are pretty CUN-TREE.
I still can't believe the Starbucks thing. Maybe because I stopped drinking coffee and switched to tea since I start my job at Teavana. But I never really drank coffee because I needed the energy. I actually enjoy the taste. But seriously, why do they have a coffee maker, if he just runs to Starbucks every day?
And good point, whoever said it. Show them making hard decisions that some families have to make now, like buying food or buying more clothes. Filling up the car with gas, or riding a bike to work. Showing them give up luxuries gets no sympathy from some people at all, like me. |

I think it's hilarious the guy has trouble starting his lawnmower. It's like he's never touched the thing. Good grief.

Another friend from high school just emailed me the following:
"i think there is one point that they left out of the story.
perhaps it was the kids who had to sacrifice by spending additional time with the parents."

Wow...I didn't even watch this 'cause I knew it would make my blood boil. I can't stand people like that...but reading everyone's comments about it was pretty entertaining! |
