That sounds more like the retail specialist staff, who are out on the floor, the "geniuses" are there to take the machines about and replace hardware and or software problems in folks macs. Saying that they need the insurance to protect them against further problems.

Hell yeah. Apple are great at looking after their people, so I hear anyway, and you couldn't ask for a more stimulating industry to work in. I'd jump at the chance if I wasn't happy at O2 (who are also great at looking after me). Also Belfast would be a hell of a commute. I guess if me and Sara moved to her hometown (Derry) it wouldn't be so bad, ha.
