When I left Spain in 1991, the folks I knew in Madrid said I had a acquired un acento gallego. However, I never learned Gallego. I was doing good to get Castellano under my belt.
At this point the hipanics here in Texas say I have a Spanish accent. Yes, I do lisp as well. My favorite is to say Zaragoza.
I'm also preparing for my brain to hurt during the three days I'm there. It usually takes about that long to not have to translate everything I hear and say...and just think it and say it.
And yes I will bring a rain coat.
Okay, Annie, I've gotten off my rump and posted! |

I don't like Galician accent; well, I do if it isn't strong, but if you hear speaking Fraga (I'm sure you know who he is, this man) or people like him, it's very difficult to understand what they're saying.
Zaragoza!!! Haha. Some people who come here to learn Spanish always tell me that that word is difficult for them (as well as all with the strong "r")
When I watch a film I always translate what the actors say into Spanish, and the same happens when I speak, but when I was in London, everything was different. My brain thought and acted in English! I felt sooooooooooo happy I think that if you usually hear o speak Spanish, you won't have problems
I hope you enjoy your stay in my beautiful country |

I just saw this!
fraga sin condon
I'm sorry to the English speakers, but I need to practice...

We need Spanish boardies! We aren't too many, haha. It doesn't matter where you were born, I give you the Spanish citizenship XD |
